2020 Ford Super Duty

Can you bowl over a 300 at bowling? Can you get an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10? Can an undefeated football team do better? Can you do better than the best? With the release of the 2020 Ford Super Duty, Ford has shown that you can improve the best. The 2019 Ford Super Duty already had best-in-class gross combination weight rating (GCWR) and class exclusive BoxLink and Adaptive Steering.

What could make the 2020 Ford Super Duty even better than its recent ancestor the 2019 Ford Super Duty? Ford gave it more power. Ford is releasing the all-new 7.3 OHV gas V8 engine and also released a more powerful next generation of the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. These two engines, combined with a rugged frame and chassis design, give the 2020 Ford Super Duty best-in-class numbers in every category of hauling and towing capability.
The 7.3L OHV PFI gas V8 is the most powerful gas V8 on the market right now with a rating of 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. This is a “pushrod” design that optimizes low-end torque. It is made of a cast-iron block with four-bolt and cross-bolted main bearings plus a forged-steel crankshaft. This engine will give you the power you have been looking for out of a gas engine.

Ford has been using and perfecting the 6.7L Power Stroke V8 engine over the last ten years. The upgrade to the 6.7L is highlighted by the introduction of the new 36,000-psi fuel-injection system. The injectors can atomize fuel up to eight times per stroke. That optimizes combustion. It also features a stronger block, cylinder heads, connector rods and bearings plus a new forged-steel piston. That means the new 6.7L produced 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

The other big news in the 2020 Ford Super Duty lineup is the addition of the Tremor Off-Road Package. This package is available on the XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum (F-250 and F-350). The 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor Edition will include 35-inch max-traction tires and off-road tuned front and rear suspensions as well as all-terrain handling. It also includes off-road shock dampers and selectable Rock Crawl and Trail Control modes for the powertrain. Both the 6.7L and 7.3L engines are available in the Super Duty Tremor.
