Are you a central Michigan resident looking for a Ford F-150 for sale near Lansing? If so, you’ve come to the right place! We carry the many models of this popular pickup here at Pauli Ford, and we would love to help you select yours. As one of the most iconic pickup trucks in American history, the Ford F-150 is a classic for Michigan truckers needing solid reliability in a simple package, and we feel obligated to show everyone what this best-selling, light-duty, full-size truck has to offer and that means taking a look at the trim levels on display for the 2025 F-150. Today, we’re going to help you understand the different trim options for the 2025 year to help you make an informed purchase for a truck that works for you and you alone. Let’s dive in!

The XL

Looking for a reliable, durable, and flexible work truck or daily driver for running errands in Lansing? Consider the F-150 XL. It boasts a 2.7L EcoBoost engine that delivers solid fuel economy with a blend of good horsepower and torque figures for towing and hauling. The safety and tech features are highlights of the XL, building a foundation that other trims further down this list will build upon.

Let’s start with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of driver-assist features. With features like Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, the truck itself can help you stay centered and avoid front-facing collisions in dense traffic areas. Blind Spot Assist with Trailer Tow helps you monitor your blind spot, even when towing a large vessel. The Reverse Brake Assist feature will even help you be aware of potential hazards when backing up.

The XL is also full of excellent standard infotainment and technology features. With a 12-inch capacitive touchscreen boasting Ford’s premier SYNC 4 system and enhanced voice recognition, it’s ready to make calls, pull up directions, and change the song, all with voice commands. Plus, the XL has an available 5G Wi-Fi connection that can connect to up to 10 devices at once.

The STX

The F-150 has several off-road options for the 2025 year, but if you’re looking for something moderate—something just as good for in-town driving around downtown Lansing as it is for adventures—consider the STX. More specifically, be sure to add the FX4 package, which adds to the STX with a group of off-road-oriented features, including an off-road-tuned suspension with premium shock absorbers, skid plates, and a rock crawl mode. Together, these features let you explore rough terrain without suffering a bumpy ride or damage to your undercarriage.

Another fun feature of this trim is the 12-inch productivity screen. This is where you’ll find useful vehicle and journey info, including which of the F-150’s selectable drive modes you’re currently engaging, including Normal, ECO, Sport, Tow/Haul, and (with the FX4 package) Rock Crawl. So, you can always confirm that you’re in the right mode for the terrain you’re traveling in.

The XLT

The XLT is what we call the luxury “light” model. If you like the capabilities of the XL and want a few added comforts, consider the XLT. The keyword for this trim is “available” because there are tons of available add-ons, enabling you to create your perfect truck, like a wireless charging pad, premium sound system, and console work surface.

The best available feature, however, might be the 3.5L PowerBoost full hybrid V6 engine. Choosing this hybrid delivers two benefits—one obvious at first glance and one not. The obvious benefit will be the vastly improved fuel economy, making the XLT with the PowerBoost a solid commuter’s choice. The not-so-obvious benefit is the power this engine delivers to Pro Power Onboard, an onboard generator that can get you up to 7.2kW of power wherever you are and allows you to charge phones, tools, and other devices right from your truck.

If you plan on taking advantage of the F-150’s towing figures often, you might consider two more available features for this trim: ProTrailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. Together, with the press of a button, these features help you line up your truck to your trailer with ease. The available 360-degree camera is a nice touch, too, if you still need more assurance that Ford is committed to keeping truckers safe and aware of everything around them.

The Lariat

Looking for a little more luxury for a drive in downtown Lansing? Step up to the Lariat trim. This trim nets you some creature comforts that make driving an absolute joy. Some of these include the heated and ventilated ActiveX seats, which keep you comfortable all year long and are easy to clean. A wrapped steering wheel makes for comfortable long-haul driving, as do the power-adjustable pedals with memory.

There are tons of available perks in this trim, too, like a 14-speaker Bang and Olufsen audio system, which delivers surround sound to all of your passengers and brings those podcasts and playlists to life. An available Head-Up Display puts important vehicle and journey stats right in your line of vision so you can keep your eyes on the road at all times.

On the utility front, the Pro Access Tailgate is available for this trim. This unique tailgate system contains a swing-out door for easier access to your bed contents, in addition to a traditional drop-down tailgate. Plus, it has integrated steps. The LED headlamps and taillamps should come in handy when you find yourself at a job site or campsite later than expected.

The Tremor

Now, onto the serious off-road trim, the Tremor. With 33-inch all-terrain tires, the F-150 Tremor is a beast that can trudge through mud and dirt with the best of them. The increased ride height with improved departure and approach angles lets you easily tackle hilly terrain. The Tremor features Trail Control, a low-speed cruise control that lets you focus on steering on tumultuous ground, taking over braking and accelerating for you. Trail 1-Pedal Drive, which allows you to accelerate or brake using just the gas pedal, also improves off-road driving. Plus, an available modular front bumper protects your truck from damage, and a front axle with Torsen differential can send torque where it’s needed most.

The King Ranch

We’re reaching one of the upper luxury trims now. The King Ranch has an upscale Western vibe, with rich, earthy leather tones throughout the interior cabin. The multi-contour bucket seats are a treat to sit in, delivering support and comfort where you need it most on long drives. Look up, and you can enjoy natural light and a breeze through the twin-panel moonroof. Plus, power-deployable running boards help passengers hop in and out of the cab and tuck away when you park.

The Platinum

The Platinum can only be described as “sleek.” Given the option to add chrome just about everywhere, from wheel inserts to the grille and mirror caps, it has a cosmopolitan vibe that Lansing drivers might appreciate. Many of the perks here are cosmetic. You get 20-inch painted gloss black wheels and body-color bumpers. The handles on the doors and tailgate have a satin aluminum finish (available). Not to mention, there’s a fabulous FORD tailgate applique available, too.

The Raptor

We end our journey at the F-150’s true off-road superstar, the Raptor. Get ready to explore the roughest terrain in this beast. While powerful enough with the 3.5L High Output V6 it comes standard with, the Raptor R boasts an available 5.2L Supercharged V8 engine, which stands at the pinnacle of the F-150’s powertrain offerings, clocking in at a monstrous 720 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque. If you know that power is your priority, you can have it with either iteration of the Raptor. With a 4X4 hi-lock transfer case, the Raptor can send maximum power to all four wheels, locking the axles together for incredible traction to keep you moving. Heavy-duty skid plates keep your truck protected from debris flying up from the trails. Some cool Raptor off-road style running boards and graphics also give you some aesthetic points while you’re tearing up the backwoods near Lansing.
