What is Ford Credit?

In our culture today there are some products that are so complementary that when you hear one the other one pops right into your head. Things like Starbucks and coffee, East Lansing and Michigan State University, and Uncle Johns and apple cider will always have a place in our memories as belonging together. That is the same relationship that Ford Motor Company has with Ford Credit.
We all know who Ford Motor Company is, but who is Ford Credit and why should you care? Ford Credit, which also owns Lincoln Automotive Financial Services, was started in 1959. In 1959 Ford Credit looked very different than it does today. Today Ford Credit is an assist for Ford dealers to offer financing options to customers looking to buy or lease a new Ford or used vehicles of all makes. Of the Detroit “Big Three”, Ford is the only one that still owns its own financing company. Between 2008 and 2010 GM sold GMAC, and Chrysler Financial was sold to Toronto-Dominion Bank.

What does that mean to you as the customer? Ford Credit gives the Ford dealer a huge advantage over other manufacturers. Ford dealers can offer special discounts and rebates for using Ford Credit. Ford Credit will also offer special financing rates that make buying a new Ford that much better. Often some of our most popular models, like the Ford F150, Ford Fusion and Ford Explorer, will have 0% financing offers. Ford Credit also is Pauli Ford’s choice for lender to finance the lease of a new Ford through. If a new Ford is not in your future but a used Ford is, Ford Credit has advantages for you too. Sometimes Ford Credit will offer a special financing rate for Ford Certified used vehicles, sometimes as low as 1.9%.

Financing a vehicle is never an easy process. There are so many different lenders, terms and rates. Which one is best for you? What is the best deal? Who is going to take care of you after the sale? At Pauli Ford we have a finance department to help you with this process. We work with over two dozen different lending institutions throughout the state of Michigan including Journey Federal Credit Union, Michigan State University Federal Credit Union and Fifth Third Bank. If you have questions about financing a new Ford or used vehicle contact Justin or his team in our financing department to find out how we can work with you to make your dream vehicle come to reality.
