Putting the world on wheels in the early 1900s with the Model T, it’s no surprise that Ford is one of America’s most beloved automotive brands. With the Model T, Henry Ford set a precedent that change was welcome in the company as he constantly worked to improve the model to better meet the demands of drivers. This rich heritage and Ford’s exceptional reputation are two of the many reasons that make us proud to be the leading Ford dealer in Saint Johns. Ford makes our jobs easy by offering a diverse lineup that’s laden with innovative technology, jaw-dropping capability, and remarkable versatility from best-selling trucks like the F-150 and legends like the Bronco to SUVs like the Edge, Explorer, and Expedition. Here’s more of what you can expect from Ford’s 2022 fleet.

2022 Bronco

It’s only fitting that our buyer’s guide starts with the most talked-about SUV in the segment–the Bronco. Reintroduced in 2021, the 2022 Ford Bronco returns to the lineup with a few significant updates like the all-new Everglades and Raptor models. The Everglades extends the Bronco’s Sasquatch package with the addition of a snorkel air intake, 35-inch tires, and a 10,000-pound winch for all your off-roading needs. The Raptor, however, cashes in on your need for speed with its twin-turbo V6 engine, 37-inch tires, and heavy-duty suspension that can launch you full-throttle into any adventure.

2022 Bronco Sport

Like its bigger sibling, the Bronco Sport debuted in 2021 to widespread acclaim as a compact crossover that blends adventure with practicality. With the SUV unchanged for 2022, you can expect to find the same versatility on the 2022 model across its four-trim lineup from the Base and Big Bend to the Outer Banks and Badlands. Built using the same High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension system as the full-size Bronco, the 2022 Bronco Sport is plenty capable. It comes equipped with up to seven G.O.A.T. Modes that allow you to tailor how the SUV performs based on the terrain by using Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Sand. When you opt for the Bronco Sport Badlands, you’ll find additional modes like Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl.

2022 Edge

A veteran in the Ford lineup, the 2022 Ford Edge is an attractive option for those who don’t need the seating capacity of a three-row SUV but aren’t willing to sacrifice spaciousness or comfort. The Edge is a mid-size SUV that stretches across two rows and offers one of the largest cabins in its class, which means greater comfort for your passengers and more cargo room. For 2022, Ford updates the Edge SE with the available Black Appearance package that adds black exterior accents and black 19-inch wheels. The Adventure Package, which is available on the SEL, adds all-terrain tires, faux-leather upholstery, unique exterior accents, and a safe mounted in the center console to keep your valuables secure at all times.

2022 Escape

The Bronco Sports shares the same platform as the Escape but is designed for more adventurous drivers, leaving the Escape to focus on what it does best – efficient on-road driving. The 2022 Ford Escape, which is also available as a hybrid or plug-in hybrid, is a versatile compact SUV that offers a host of innovative technology and plenty of room for both passengers and cargo. Since Ford restyled the Escape in 2020, you can expect to find the 2022 model mostly unchanged beyond the addition of Ice Blue, Atlas Blue Metallic, and Flight Blue Metallic to its exterior color palette.

2022 Expedition

As the biggest SUV in the Ford lineup, the 2022 Ford Expedition is also one of the most versatile. Designed for families who need plenty of passenger and cargo room, the Expedition and Expedition Max are also capable road warriors whether you’re hauling a trailer or venturing off the road and down the trail. For 2022, this capability takes on a new look as Ford updated the Expedition’s interior and exterior styling to mirror that of the newly redesigned 2022 F-150. These updates include a standard 12-inch center touchscreen display and driver-assist tools like BlueCruise hands-free driving. Ford also introduces the Expedition Timberline, a rugged trim destined to get a little mud on the tires.

2022 Explorer

Slightly smaller than the Expedition, the 2022 Ford Explorer is another great option for families with its three rows of seating and extensive suite of connectivity, safety, and driver-assist features. For this model year, Ford makes the Explorer even more attractive with the ST-Line trim that proves even a family-friendly SUV can satisfy your need for speed. Sitting on 20-inch wheels, the ST-Line is instantly recognizable with its black badging and exterior accents. Inside, its interior is just as inspiring with its faux-suede upholstery with red stitching and a sport steering wheel for better grip when you’re pushing the SUV to its limits.

2022 F-150

As the best-selling truck in America for four decades, the F-150 needs little introduction. Fresh off a redesign in 2021, the 2022 Ford F-150 gives drivers even more options for customization and welcomes the all-electric F-150 Lightning to its lineup. You can customize the F-150 with unique packages like the all-new Black Appearance package or the Bed Utility Package, the latter of which adds a tailgate step and cleat-style tie-downs that are lockable to make hauling cargo more convenient and secure.

Expect to be wowed by the F-150 Lightning with its electric powertrain delivering up to 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of near-instant torque that makes it worthy of the F-150 name. The Lightning’s electric powertrain not only means more power, but it also means more functionality. Since there’s no engine under the hood, Ford converted the space into a Mega Power Frunk that offers 14.1 cubic feet of storage, power outlets, and USB ports. Other innovative features include Onboard Scales that monitor your payload to calculate the Lightning’s range.

2022 Mustang Mach-E

After only a year in the Ford lineup, the Mustang Mach-E continues to impress with its sleek styling and jaw-dropping power. Ford makes the Mach-E even more attractive for 2022 with the debut of the Ice White Edition that outfits the Premium trim in tri-coat Star White metallic paint with Oxford white detailing. For drivers looking for more performance, rest easy as Ford brings back the GT and GT Performance Edition that promise a 0 to 60 mph launch in as little as 3.5 seconds.

Finding the Ford of Your Dreams

What does the Ford of your dreams look like? Is it a capable workhorse like the best-selling F-150 or the all-new F-150 Lightning? Is it a family-friendly SUV like the Edge, Explorer, or Expedition? Or, are you looking for something truly remarkable like the Bronco or Mustang Mach-E?

Finding the Ford of your dreams starts with knowing your options and then getting behind the wheel for a test drive. From the driver’s seat, you’ll experience everything that Ford has to offer and see why so many drivers remain loyal to the Blue Oval. There’s nothing quite like driving a Ford where, as part of America’s most revered automotive families, your needs always come first whether you’re looking for a road warrior, an efficient crossover, or an adventurous icon. You’ll find it all in Ford’s 2022 lineup.
