Ford Packages Let You Get the Features You Want on Your F-150
The Ford F-150 is the best-selling vehicle in America. More Americans will buy a 2023 Ford F-150 for sale this year than any other model of vehicle, and this includes every truck, car, SUV, and EV. The reason for this is due in part to the fact that Ford allows you to get what you want on your F-150 pickup truck. In addition to offering eight different trims and two special editions of the 2023 F-150, Ford also gives you the option of many different packages on each trim level of this truck. As a result, you don’t have to go up an entire trim level if you want some features that don’t come standard on the F-150 model you are considering. This will allow you to get exactly what you want on your truck without having to pay extra to get features and equipment that don’t interest you but come standard on the next trim level up.
At Pauli Ford, we offer our customers an unrivaled selection of Ford models, including the F-150 pickup truck. Special Appearance Packages
You may want to get a special appearance package to help your 2023 Ford F-150 stand out from the crowd. These packages add a little extra level of bling to your truck, so you can get it personalized to fit you. For example, there is a Chrome Appearance Package that is available on the XL, XLT, and King Ranch models of the F-150 that include things like chrome step bars, exhaust tip, door handles, grille surround, and chrome-accented aluminum wheels to really bring out the curb appeal on these trucks. Ford also offers a Black Appearance Package on the XL, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum trims that really boost the black features inside and out with specialized badging.
The XL version is referred to as the STX Black Appearance Package and adds additional comfort and convenience features like the SYNC 4 infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and connected navigation. So, not only does this give the F-150 XL special looks. It also makes it more enjoyable to drive. Ford also offers the 2023 F-150 XL with STX Appearance Package, which also enhances the truck’s appearance while adding some additional comfort features.
There are other very cool appearance packages. The XLT comes with an optional Heritage Package and Sport Appearance Package, the latter of which is also offered on the Lariat model. The Sport package adds body-color exterior accessories like bumpers and door handles. The King Ranch is offered with a two-tone Monochromatic Paint Package. Meanwhile, the all-new Raptor model features no fewer than three special exterior appearance packages: the Raptor Carbon-Fiber Package, the Raptor Exterior Graphic Package, and the Raptor 37 Graphics Delete. Each will make this off-road beast look even more aggressive and imposing.
Packages to Make Towing Easier
One of the best things about the 2023 Ford F-150 is its towing capability. Few trucks can rival what this full-size Ford truck has to offer. However, if you want to use our F-150 for towing, you might consider one of the many towing packages offered by Ford to get the most out of your truck.
A Class IV Trailer Hitch is a necessity if you are going to do some serious towing. It consists of a 4-pin/7-pin wiring harness, Class IV trailer hitch receiver, and a smart trailer tow connector. This is why it comes standard on the Raptor, Lariat, and Tremor models. You can also add this as an optional package on the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum models.
Ford offers other trailer packages. For example, the Trailer Tow Package adds a trailer brake controller and the Pro Trailer Backup Assist System to the Class IV Trailer Hitch on the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims. This comes standard on the Limited model. There is also a Tow Technology Package that includes a 360-degree camera with Trailer Reverse Guidance that uses technology to help you when you are towing.
However, if you need even greater trailering capability, you can opt for the Max Trailer Tow Package on the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims of the 2023 F-150. This adds things like an electronic-locking rear axle, the Pro Trailer Backup Assist system, and an integrated trailer brake controller. These will make towing safer and easier than ever.
Packages That Make It Easier to Haul Cargo
That cargo bed on your 2023 Ford F-150 isn’t just there for show. What sets the pickup truck apart from other passenger vehicles is its ability to carry large loads in its payload bed. Where folks who drive SUVs and sedans may need to make multiple trips when they are moving, you can often do it all in just one shot with a pickup truck. The Ford payload packages give you the ability to get the most out of your truck’s cargo capacity.
The XL and XLT models of the 2023 F-150 feature an efficient 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 gas engine. If you want to get more out of the payload bed on these models, you can opt for a 2.7-liter EcoBoost Payload Package. This adds a 9.75-inch gearset and a 3.73 electronic-locking rear axle to reduce wheel slippage. You can also get these two features on the F-150 XL and XLT as part of the Heavy-Duty Payload Package, along with a larger fuel tank, all-terrain tires, specialized heavy-duty wheels, and upgraded springs. This will come in especially handy if you plan to use your F-150 for commercial purposes. Ford also adds a Bed Utility Package on the F-150 XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Tremor, and Platinum trims, which comes standard on the Limited model. This includes a specialized bed liner, LED lighting, and tie-downs in the payload to make loading easier.
Special Performance Packages to Get the Most Out of Your Truck
Ford offers the Raptor and Tremor models of the 2023 F-150 for folks who love off-roading, but there are those who want off-roading capabilities in their F-150 without either paying for a specialized trim or surrendering certain trim-specific capabilities. This is why Ford offers the FX4 Off-Road Package on most models with a 4×4 drivetrain. This adds an electronic-locking rear differential, off-road-tuned front shocks, rear monotube shocks, Rock Crawl mode on the 4×4, Hill Descent Control, and strategically placed skid plates. This will give you peace of mind when you decide to take your truck out on the trail.
At the other end of the spectrum, Ford offers the F-150 XL, XLT, and Lariat with a Snow Plow Prep. This gives you specialized instrumentation so you can hook a snow plow up to your truck to help with snow removal in inclement weather.
The newest model of the F-150 is the Raptor. This specialized off-road beast has almost everything you need. If you want to take things to the next level, you can opt for two different packages. The Raptor 37 Performance Package adds a set of 37-inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires wrapped around 17-inch forged aluminum beadlock-capable wheels. This will allow you to under inflate your tires for better grip in off-road tractions. Just use the beadlocks to anchor your tires’ beads to the wheel rims so they won’t get damaged. When you are done off-roading, just re-inflate your tires to the proper rating.
The Raptor Power Tech Package gives you a Pro Power Onboard 2.0kW generator. This runs on exportable energy from the Raptor’s engine. This allows you to do work off of your Raptor. It can also come in handy using utilities like an air compressor or winch in off-road conditions.
Safety Comes First With These Driver Assistance Packages
Ford has shown its commitment to passenger safety with its Ford Co-Pilot360 package of driver assistance systems, standard on all models of the 2023 F-150. All models except the XL also have Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0, which includes Auto high-beam headlights and the BLIS (blind spot information system) with cross traffic alert. Auto high-beam headlights turn on and off depending on light conditions, while the BLIS system alerts you of any traffic driving in your truck’s blind spot. If you plan to buy an F-150 XL and want these features, you can add them as an available feature without having to move up to an XLT model.
There are two other advanced safety packages available on the 2023 F-150. Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 adds Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Evasive Steering Assist, and Intersection Assist. These make driving easier by allowing the system to control your truck’s speed while also alerting you to potential collisions. This is standard on the King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims and available as a package on the XLT, Lariat, and Tremor models.
Ford has also created a form of a self-driving system called Ford BlueCruise 1.0 with Active Park Assist 2.0 and Forward Sensing System. This allows your truck to take over some of the challenges of driving on specially mapped roads, helping you reduce fatigue on long drives. While this is a standard feature on the 2023 F-150 Limited, it is also available as an option on the Lariat, King Ranch, Tremor, and Platinum models. These packages show that Ford remains on the cutting edge of passenger safety technology.
